White County - The White County Area Plan Commission invites you to participate in a series of Public
Workshops to engage the community in the comprehensive planning process.
Workshop 1: April 12, 2016 - 4:30-6 pm, Roosevelt Middle School - 721 W. Broadway, Monticello, IN
Workshop 2: April 12, 2016 - 6:30-8 pm, Old Reynolds School Building - 401 W. 2nd Street, Reynolds, IN
The Town's Planning Consultant, RATIO, and the White County Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will be in attendance to interact with the public and gather input to understand opportunities and constraints in the county, and establish an implementable vision for the next 10-15 years. Refreshments will be served and families are welcome.
About the White County Area Plan
The comprehensive planning process will produce a document that is community based,
market driven and action focused.
A comprehensive plan is required by state statute and provides guidance for Land Use, Development/ Redevelopment, Agriculture, the Environment, Quality of Life and Transportation.
The White County Area Plan Steering Committee consists of 20 people that represent White County and the seven area planning member communities. To date, two steering committee meetings have been held. The consultant has also conducted 13 stakeholder meetings and distributed 20 take-home community planning kits.
The public is welcome to attend Steering Committee Meetings as audience members or follow the process on the White County Comprehensive Plan microsite:
